The process of making beer involves boiling water, which separates the sweet liquid from the physical grist. After the wort has been boiled, the grains are removed. Beer production requires a few grains. These grains include wheat, rye and barley. First, the grains are soaked in water for a brief period. This allows the starch to break down and be converted to sugar. The resulting wort is then boiled for about two hours until it reaches the proper consistency for adding hops. The process is called malting. The next step is to brew the beer. This involves using the wort to ferment and flavor the grain.

The brewing process requires 16 kg of grain and seven kg of barley malt. Purified water is essential for the brewing process as well as to maintain the equipment. The fermentation process will be impeded by contaminated water, which can lead to discolored beer. A type of fungi, yeast, is another important ingredient.
